We’ve all seen it. Tube socks, sneakers, camera swinging, baseball hat – the quintessential look of a tourist. When it comes time to pack for your travels, we want to help! Introducing our new series, Pack Perfect, in which we’ll be sharing some of our favorite piece, well-worn secrets and packing lists that will make your pre-trip planning so much easier! First up, we wanted to make sure our fellow Dame Travelers feel comfortable and dressed appropriately for a dreamy trip to the Amalfi Coast. Don’t worry! Each piece is local approved and will make passing Italians wonder… is she from here? Here’s how to not look like a tourist in Positano.
Rule #1: Feminine Details
There’s something about Italian fashion that oozes romantic notions of classic femininity and chic silhouettes. It’s true. Europeans generally dress much more professionally than by American standards. So what’s a girl to do when it comes time to visit? Simply put, take a basic that you love and amplify it. For example, a classic white shirt will take you far no matter where you’re traveling to. But a coastal Italian flair might be to add a bow or linen fabric detail.
Simply put… choose pieces that are easy breezy, but have an element of femininity or old school Hollywood glamour.
Keep In Mind
Most of the activities you’ll be taking part in in beautiful Positano include exploring by foot or relaxing beachside. Comfort is key here, but so is skin protection! Sunscreen, sunglasses and a big hat are a necessity during afternoon strolls in the town. And don’t forget an easy bag you don’t feel weighed down by.
Here are our favorite pieces we’d pack for a perfect trip to Positano!
