New York City: A Photo Diary by Lauren of Youthful & Wandering

G’day Dame Travelers! I’m Lauren Smithson of Youthful and Wandering blog, all the way from Gold Coast, Australia! I’ve been traveling North America for almost 3 months and today I’m going to take you on a personal tour of my current destination, NEW YORK CITY! Today I am exploring Downtown Manhattan & Brooklyn. Let’s start the day off with a subway ride down to a little Aussie Owned Cafe, Two Hands NYC for a Flat White and some Smashed Avo on Toast!

It’s time to work off some of those holiday calories with a walk over Brooklyn Bridge! One of the oldest and most iconic bridges in America connects the two boroughs of Manhattan & Brooklyn!

Time for a picnic lunch at Brooklyn Bridge Park with a view overlooking Downtown Manhattan. If you look closely you can see the Freedom Tower, the tallest skyscraper in North America!

If you couldn’t get a close enough look at the Freedom Tower in my last photo, see if you can spot it now! Time for an afternoon joy ride over Manhattan Island courtesy of HeliNY.

& last but not least, the classic Top of the Rock which boasts the best view in all of NYC.
