Looking, Learning, Lost: A Poem

Happy Thursday, Dame Travelers! Today, we wanted to spotlight a short but meaningful travel poem for you. As adventurers, explorers, and lovers of the world, the fleeting moments of gratitude and joy we experiences should never be overlooked. To know this earth as our setting is a thing of beauty.

To be looking
To be learning
To be lost

To the great unknown
The world’s unseen
The water untouched
It’s an impossible feat in our year

But…

To be looking
To be learning
To be lost
On my own, in my own story

Two feet below, two eyes directed onward
One heart with curiosity, one mind with questions
A thousand stories, flashes of delight and wonder
Only so many days to call my own
What will my chapters be full of?

To be looking
To be learning
To be lost

The world is not my oyster
She is my pearl
The treasure
The setting, the story, the love I’ve longed for
To pursue her corners, her sun sets and rises
To simply look in admiration and splendor

To be looking
To be learning
To be lost
