Experiencing United’s Newest Business Class, Polaris

As a full-time traveler, it’s not very often that I get to fly business class but I recently had the opportunity to experience United Airline’s newest business class, Polaris on their SFO to FRA route and FRA to ORD and it was everything we imagined it to be and more. A dedicated Premier Access Business Class desk at the airport makes the check in fast and easy and United Polaris Business class passengers can check up to two bags free of charge.

Lay-flat seating
The lay-flat seating is an absolute winner and almost as comfortable as a bed, fully equipped with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, I also appreciated the added security feature with the cross over seat belt for takeoff and landing.

The amenities kit
I was super excited and surprised to see Cowshed products in the amenities kit as I’ve been a fan of the line since I discovered it at Soho House in New York City (great taste United!) Loved that the kit was not wasteful and only contained practical items such as socks, eye cover, lip balm, lotion, toothbrush and a handy dandy mini pen.

Chef-inspired meals and menu
Chef-designed menus, light snack options as well as a great selection of wines and cocktails are offered on board United Polaris. My favorite touch was the ice cream and sweet cart that came around after every meal. My sweet tooth surely appreciated that!

United Polaris lounge in the ORD airport.
Favorite aspects of the lounge including but not limited to the day beds, delicious food options and lounge/bar area.
While there are a few United Club lounges at ORD, the United Polaris lounge is a whole other experience. The brand new space with its clean minimal lines with tons of natural light, numerous and very comfortable seating areas, day beds, showers, a full bar, light food options and even a restaurant with a full menu, make this lounge experience a dream.

From arrival to the airport to landing, United Polaris offers a smooth, relaxing experience from end to end with the ideal environment to catch up on sleep during long-haul flights. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on board and hope you do too.
