Dubai is a glittering jewel in the middle of the desert with a wealth of experiences and opportunities to discover. For those who enjoy an action packed holiday of fun, Dubai is the perfect destination. By planning an itinerary thoroughly, you can make sure that you visit the best attractions and still leave feeling refreshed. With world class restaurants, water parks and an indoor ski resort, there is something for everyone. Here are some of the best things to do during your visit to Dubai. Discovering Dubai’s adventurous side with us today.

Ski Dubai

If you’re heading to Dubai Mall to do some shopping or simply to let your jaw drop at the exquisite building, you can’t miss Ski Dubai. The indoor ski resort features an 85 meter high indoor mountain with five ski slopes of different difficulties.

A day at the resort makes a great antidote for the blistering heat outside and, for adrenaline junkies, there is the world’s first indoor black diamond run.

Don’t worry about packing your ski gear, as you can hire everything at reception. For non-skiers, the Ski Park play ground next door is a great day out. Try tobogganing or the ice body slide or play on the giant snowballs or in the ice cave. You won’t have to worry about booking a ski holiday this year, as you can get your snow fix in Dubai!

Wild Wadi Waterpark

If you’re looking for other ways to cool down in Dubai, try Wild Wadi Waterpark. Located on Jumeirah, Wild Wadi makes a great day out.

Themed around the tale of Juha, taken from Arabic folklore, the park features 30 rides… and there is something for everyone. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, you’ll want to try Tantrum Alley, which features two water slides and three tornadoes. Jump on Riptide FlowRiders for a unique surfing ride, which is one of only four surfing simulations in the world. For something a little more sedate, take a relaxing trip around Juha’s Journey, a lazy river ride with great views.

Wild Wadi is close to the Burj Al Arab, where you could enjoy dinner after your visit.

Dubai Creek

Once you’ve had a few action packed days, you’ll likely be ready to kick back and take things a little more slowly. Make a visit to Dubai Museum and the Heritage Village where you can discover Dubai’s past and take a look at forgotten artifacts.

Spend an afternoon on the water, cruising down the creek in a water taxi or a traditional wooden dhow. If you’re lucky, you might bump into some dolphins along the way. You could finish your day by wandering around the Dubai Creek Park, one of the biggest parks in Dubai.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

Also located in the Dubai Mall, you’ll find the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. Unlike any other aquarium in the world, you can try a Shark Encounter, and get up close and personal with some truly terrifying fish. For those who would rather something which doesn’t make the heart palpitate quite so much, you could try cage snorkelling, during which you will be able to meet 300 species of fish.

The Dubai Aquarium is also home to the world’s first VRZoo experience, which uses state of the art virtual reality technology to allow visitors to experience the thrills of safari from the safety of the aquarium.

You’ll never be bored in Dubai and, even if you don’t feel like having a day packed full of thrills, there are plenty of options to fill your downtime. You’ll return from Dubai feeling refreshed and excited about your next trip. If you want to go somewhere that has everything, Dubai is the answer!
