Hi Dame Travelers! I’m beauty & travel blogger, Pearypie from Thailand and today I’ll be taking over Dame Traveler to show you around the beautiful country of Turkey! First stop: Goreme, Cappadocia Turkey.
Starting the day off with shopping the markets in Konya, Turkey. This is where a the shrine of the famous poet, Rumi aka Mevlana, is located. So if you are visiting Turkey, do not forget to visit the Mevlevi museum/shrine in Konya. You can see the live act of the Whirling Dervishes who perform near it. A beautiful ritual in which dervishes wear long white dresses whirling ecstatically in the streets. || “Travel brings power and love back to your life” – Rumi
I then headed to Cappadocia, an area in Central Anatolia in Turkey best known for its unique moon-like landscape, underground cities, cave churches and houses carved in the rocks.
Next stop is Pamukkale, Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish, is a natural site and city that contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. The place is classified by UNESCO and is just incredible.
Here I am in Istanbul playing dress up at Habip Bayram‘s store in the neighborhood of Florya!
Ending my day with some delicious Turkish Apple tea in the Saltanahmet area of Istanbul!
