What’s Your Sweet Life?
Picture this: a gorgeous, sprawling house nestled in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Inside, some of the world’s most interesting, vivacious, talented and unique women, all gathered to inspire and enlighten one another.
This past Thursday, I had the incredible opportunity to represent Dame Traveler in place of our fearless leader Nastasia Wong at What’s Your Sweet Life?, an event hosted by Lilit Caradanian of @makeupbylilit and Viola Doyle of @projectsweetstuff.
Arriving at the event, I immediately felt like I had walked into a really special place. I couldn’t stop staring at how beautiful the house was. The walls were filled with family photos, instantly giving me the warmth of knowing that I was in a safe and loving space.
As we trickled in, our hosts made us feel welcome, guiding us into a dining area that looked like it belonged on the cover of a magazine. Once we were settled, we were asked a rather simple question, or so I thought.
“What’s your definition of a sweet life?”
We began sharing, and I can honestly say, each of these phenomenal women changed me. All walks of life, different experiences and different interests, at first glance, you wouldn’t know what united us. But in that space and in that moment, it was never more clear.
We all want to live a true, honest and pure life, free of judgments, unnecessary obstacles and negativity. We want to contribute to the world in a way that will give people a healthy and positive outlook. We all want to be happy.
Ladies, if there is one thing that I learned from this magical evening, it’s this: trust yourself. Listen to the voice that you have inside of you, regardless of what it is. Push yourself to the limit and never settle. Make a wish. Dream as big as you can.
We want you to do better and be better. Always keep exploring.
Thank you to Lilit and Viola for organizing and inviting us to such a phenomenal evening. Thank you to all of the ladies that were there that evening. Each one of you made an indelible mark on me and for that, I will be eternally grateful.
All my love,
