We recently got to experience summer in Switzerland at the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz and the iconic experience was unforgettable. A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the Kulm oozes luxury and is quintessentially Swiss. And while staying at the Kulm during the summer seasons doesn’t come with snow capped mountains, the lush green views right from the comfort of your cozy room will steal your heart away.
Location
Located in the heart of St. Moritz, the Kulm is approximately 2 hours outside of Zurich by car and can also be easily accessed by a very scenic 3 hour train ride straight from the airport to the town. The hotel limousine picks up and delivers guests to the train station in St Moritz on a complimentary basis.
Rooms
The Kulm hotel boasts 172 rooms and the junior suite I had the opportunity to experience it was definitely the highlight of my stay. It featured some of the most amazing views over Lake St. Moritz and parts of the town. The wooden accents, light pastel colors, incredible cozy furniture and fast, complimentary wifi, makes this room a place you never want to leave.
Restaurants
With 5 restaurants in summer, 7 restaurants open in winter and three bars to choose from, the Kulm has a dining experience for every type of taste.
Chesa al Parc
Within walking distance outside of the hotel lies the traditional Chesa al Parc restaurant where you can order authentic dishes such as cheese fondue, weinersnitchel and more.
Pizzeria
The pizzeria offers homemade wood-oven pizzas, pastas, fish and meat dishes and was the perfect place to enjoy a casual meal with a group of friends.
Kulm Country Club Bar
The Kulm Country Club has been re-opened after a CHF12 million refurbishment design by British architect Lord Foster and boasts a stunning wood-paneled restaurant, Alpine views, a gorgeous bar and more. Our dinner at the restaurant was one of the most memorable experiences with deliciously creative dishes and incredible ambiance.
Spa
The spa features a 20m indoor pool, saunas, steam rooms, panoramic views of the Alps, and an outdoor heated pool that extends indoors!
Things to do in the surrounding area
The Kulm is located in the heart of St. Moritz allowing for easy access to much of the best things to do in the surrounding area in the summer months such as biking, yachting, golfing, tennis, hiking and more.
